Lentil soup
6 oz lentils
1 clove garlic crushed
1 large onion
1 carrot diced
2 sticks celery sliced
2 tomatoes
half pound bacon
herbs
salt and pepper
one and a half pints stock
Wash the lentils, place in the slow cooker, just cover with cold salted water and cook on low overnight. Drain off any liquid. Add the garlic, onion, carrot celery, tomatoes, bacon, hergs seasoning and stock and cook on low for 8 to 10 hours.
